Men Dress
FORMAL OR SEMI CASUAL, NO SHORTS, SLEEVELESS SHIRTS, OR MESSAGE BEARING T- SHIRTS.

Ladies Dress
FORMAL OR SEMI CASUAL: COVERING THE ENTIRE BODY, AND A SCARF TO COVER THE HAIR. NO SHORTS SKIRTS, SLEEVELESS TOPS, OR REVEALING CLOTHES

Greetings
THE MUSLIMS GREET WITH THE UNIVERSAL GREETINGS OF “PEACE”, IN ARABIC “AS-SALAAMIJ- ALAIKUM “. HUGGING, KISSING, AND SHAKING HANDS WITH THE OPPOSITE SEX IS NOT PART OF ISLAMIC CONDUCT.

Procedure
AS MUSLIMS PRAY ON THE FLOOR, THE CARPETED AREAS MUST BE KEPT CLEAN. YOU WILL BE ASKED TO TAKE OFF YOUR SHOES BEFORE ENTERING THE MAIN AREAS OF THE MOSQUE. A TOUR GUIDE WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH THE MOSQUE AND EXPLAIN THE BASIC BELIEFS AND PRACTICES OF ISLAM AND TRY TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. DEPENDING UPON AVAILABILITY, A SEPARATE MUSLIM LADY WILL BE PROVIDED TO ANSWER THE QUESTIONS OF THE LADIES AND CONDUCT A SEPARATE TOUR FOR THEM.

Prayer Area and Restrictions
CLEANLINESS OF BODY AND CLOTHES IS NECESSARY BEFORE ENTERING THE MOSQUE PRAYER AREA. DURING THEIR MENSTRUAL PERIOD LADIES ARE NOT PERMITTED IN THE PRAYER AREA.

Prayer Times
DURING PRAYER TIMES, THERE WILL BE NO TOUR AND SILENCE MUST BE OBSERVED. VISITORS MAY OBSERVE THE FORMAL PRAYER FROM THE LOBBY AREA OR REAR OF THE PRAYER AREA.
