Miami University Hamilton will present “Understanding Islam” with Karen Dabdoub of the Cincinnati Area Council of American Islamic Relations from 4:30 – 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 15 in the Harry T. Wilks Conference Center. The lecture will be followed by a question and answer session and a reception catered by Chaska Grill Pakistani and Indian Cuisine.
Dabdoub, Executive Director and Senior Litigation Assistant of the Cincinnati Area Council of American Islamic Relations, will discuss the basic principles of of Islam, the importance of the Prophet Muhammad, Islam’s relationship to women, violence in the Middle East and common misconceptions.
