It happened around 10:00 am, after deputies received a call of a suspicious person carrying a sword.
The campus not only includes Leaders Prepatory School, which is a private K-12 school, but also a mosque and day care. Upon arrival, deputies immediately secured a black female who was found exiting the mosque carrying a sword.
According to a school employee, the suspect drove onto the campus and exited her vehicle with the sword, which was about 2 feet in length.
The employee asked her what business she had on the property, to which she did not respond. The suspect then entered the mosque, which was empty and then exited. Leaders Preparatory School, which is on the campus, was immediately placed on lock down by the school principal. The employee immediately called 911 and OCSO Deputies were on scene within minutes.
No one was injured as a result of this incident and investigators are on scene speaking to witnesses. Right now it’s unclear why the suspect entered the property and it’s unknown if she has any ties to anyone in the school or mosque. The investigation is active entire article
