An exclusive poll for Sky News has found that 71% of Muslims in the UK say that the values of British society are compatible with those of Islam.
In an unprecedented venture, Sky News commissioned an opinion poll by Survation into what Muslims and non-Muslims think about a range of issues including radicalisation, security concerns, political uncertainty, a rise in hate crimes and growing prejudice.
We asked 1,000 Muslims and 1,000 non-Muslims to share their opinions and found that, while most Muslims saw their religion as being in step with British values, 16% did not.
The results showed that younger Muslims were more likely to see their values aligned to those of Britain, with 73% of those aged 18 to 34 agreeing, compared to 71% of those aged over 55. Male Muslims were also more likely to agree – with 78% versus the female figure of 64%. …..mor news.sky
