What is Islam? (The Hadith of Angel Gabriel)

on the authority of ‘Umar, radiyallahu ‘anhu, who said: “While we were one day sitting with the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, there appeared before us a man dressed in extremely white clothes and with very black hair. No…

Hadith Meaning: “The Prophet, may Allah praise him, said: ‘O Ka’b, may Allah protect you such that you do not witness the period of unworthy rulers.’ Ka’b asked…what is this period? The Prophet said: ‘This is a period of rule wherein those who rule will not follow my guidance, and will follow other than my Sunnah…whoever believes their lies and helps them further their oppression are not from me, and I am not from them; they shall not drink from my Hawdh (pool) on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever disbelieves them (i.e. the unworthy rulers), and does not help them spread their oppression, they are from me and I am from them, and they shall drink from my Hawd on the Day of Resurrection. O Ka’b fasting is a protective shield (that shields you from the torment of the afterlife), and charity puts out the flames of sin and prayers shall draw your closer to Allah. O Ka’b everyone of us shall leave this Dunya…a person may either leave this world freeing himself from Hell or shackling himself to it.” (Sahih at-Targhib) May Allah protect us from this evil…Ameen!

Chapter: The Command To Think Positively Of Allah At The Time Of Death Reference : Sahih Muslim
Jabir reported: I heard Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) as saying. Every servant would be raised (in the same very state) in which he dies.

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: It is not allowable for a Muslim to keep apart from his brother for more than three days, for one who does so and dies will enter Hell.” Sunan Abi Dawud

bu Musa (May Allah bepleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The relationship of the believer with another believer is like (the bricks of) a building, each strengthens the other.” He (ﷺ) illustrated this by interlacing the fingers of both his hands. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, ” Let the slave of Dinar and Dirham (currency), of Quantify and Khamisa (garment) perish as he is pleased if these things are given to him, and if not, he is displeased. Let such a person perish and relapse, and if he is pierced with a thorn, let him not find anyone to take it out for him. Paradise is for him who holds the reins of his horse to strive in Allah’s Cause, with his hair unkempt and feet covered with dust: if he is appointed in the vanguard, he is perfectly satisfied with his post of guarding, and if he is appointed in the rearward, he accepts his post with satisfaction; (he is so simple and unambiguous that) if he asks for permission he is not permitted, and if he intercedes, his intercession is not accepted.” (Sahih al-Bukhari)

Narrated Ibn Hawalah: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “It will turn out that you will be armed troops, one is Ash-sham, one in the Yemen and one in Iraq. Ibn Hawalah said: Choose for me, Messenger of Allah, if I reach that time. He replied: Go to Ash-sham, for it is Allah’s chosen land, to which his best servants will be gathered, but if you are unwilling, go to your Yemen, and draw water from your tanks, for Allah has on my account taken special charge of Ash-sham and its people.” (Sunan Abi Dawud)

Anas said: Three people came to the Prophet’s wives and asked how the Prophet conducted his worship. When they were told about it they seemed to consider it little and said, “What a difference there is between us and the Prophet whose former and latter sins have been forgiven him by God!” One of them said, “As for me, I will always pray during the night.” Another said, “I will fast during the daytime and not break my fast.” The other said, “I will have nothing to do with women and will never marry.” Then the Prophet came to them and said, “Are you the people who said such and such? By God, I am the one of you who fears and reverences God most, yet I fast and I break my fast; I pray and I sleep; and I marry women. He who is displeased with my sunna has nothing to do with me.”(Bukhari and Muslim.)

Abu Hurayra said, “One of you looks at the mote in his brother’s eye while forgetting the stump in his own eye.” Sahih (Mauquf) Al-Adab Al-Mufrad

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The days of Tashriq (the three days following ‘Idul Ad-ha, i.e. 11th , 12th and 13th of Dhul Hijjah) are days of eating, drinking and remembering (dhikr) of Allah, the Most Great and Glorious.” Related by Muslim.
