What is Islam? (The Hadith of Angel Gabriel)

on the authority of ‘Umar, radiyallahu ‘anhu, who said: “While we were one day sitting with the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, there appeared before us a man dressed in extremely white clothes and with very black hair. No…

The Prophet ﷺ said (in the meaning), “Whenever a Muslim supplicates Allah, He grants his supplication or avert a harm from him of equal proportions, as long as he does not supplicate for something sinful or something that would cut off the ties of kinship.” Thereupon someone said: Then we shall supplicate plenty. The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah is more plentiful in responding.” [at-Tirmidhi, Al–Hakim’s version adds: “…Or lays up an equivalent reward for him.”].

illnessThe Messenger of Allah sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said: ” If fornication and adultery is widespread and done openly, then you should know that this has never happened without new diseases befalling the people which their forefathers never suffered.”(Shaihut-targeeb)

As for the three things that destroy, they are: greediness that is obeyed, and desires that are followed, and a person becoming self-conceited (and proud) with himself. As for the three things that save, they are: the knowledge that leads to the fear of Allah in secret and public, and moderation in poverty and richness, and fairness in anger and pleasure.” [Silsilah al-Hadith as-Saheehah]

Words, of the Prophet Mohammad, answering question of Muahth : “O Prophet of Allah, will what we say be held against us?” (Al-Tirmithi,).

Anas bin Malik (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Among the inmates of Hell, a person who had led the most luxurious life in this world will be brought up on the Day of Resurrection and dipped in the Fire and will be asked: ‘O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any comfort? Did you happen to get any luxury?’ He will reply: ‘By Allah, no, my Rubb.’ And then one of the people of Jannah who had experienced extreme misery in the life of this world will be dipped in Jannah. Then he will be asked: ‘O son of Adam! Did you ever experience any misery? Did you ever encounter difficulty?’ He will say: “By Allah, no my Rubb, I neither experienced misery nor passed through hardship”.[Muslim].

The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “Whosoever wishes to be removed from the Fire (Hell) and admitted to Paradise should die with faith in Allah and the Last Day; and he should treat others as he wishes to be treated.“(Sahih Muslim)

Prophet Mohammad said, “Both in this world and in the Hereafter, I am the nearest of all the people to Jesus, the son of Mary. The prophets are paternal brothers; their mothers are different, but their religion is one.” (Bukhari)
