Narrated Ma’en bin Yazid: My father Yazid had taken some gold coins for charity and kept them with a man in the mosque (to give them to the poor) But I went and took them and brought them to him (my father). My father said, “By Allah! I did not intend to give them to you. ” I took (the case) to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) . On that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “O Yazid! You will be rewarded for what you intended. O Ma’en! Whatever you have taken is yours.

Allah’s Apostle ordered us to do seven things and forbade us to do other seven. He ordered us: to follow the funeral procession. to visit the sick, to accept invitations, to help the oppressed, to fulfill the oaths,to return the greeting and to reply to the sneezer…”(SAHIH BUKHARI)

وعن أَبي عُمارة الْبراءِ بنِ عازبٍ رضي اللَّه عنهما قَالَ: “أَمرنا رسولُ اللَّه ﷺ بِسبْعٍ، ونهانا عن سبعٍ: أَمرنَا بِعِيادة الْمرِيضِ، وَاتِّبَاعِ الْجنازةِ، وتَشْمِيتِ الْعاطِس، وَإِبْرارِ الْمُقْسِمِ، ونَصْرِ المَظْلُومِ، وَإِجابَةِ الدَّاعِي، وإِفْشاءِ السَّلامِ. وَنَهانَا عَنْ خواتِيمَ –أَوْ: تَختُّمٍ بالذَّهبِ- وَعنْ شُرْبٍ بالفضَّةِ، وعَنِ المَياثِرِ الحُمْرِ، وَعَنِ الْقَسِّيِّ، وَعَنْ لُبْسِ الحَرِيرِ وَالإِسْتَبْرَقِ وَالدِّيبَاجِ” مُتَّفَقٌ عليه

Hayyan Abi al-Nadrah reported: I went out to visit Yazid ibn al-Aswad as he was suffering a fatal illness, and I met Wathilah ibn al-Asqa’ who also wanted to visit him. We entered Yazid’s home and Wathilah said, “What do you expect from Allah?” Yazid said, “By Allah, I expect good from Allah.” Wathilah said, “Rejoice! For I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say that Allah Almighty said: I am as my servant expects me. If he expects good, he will have it. عَنْ حَيَّانَ أَبِي النَّضْرِ قَالَ خَرَجْتُ عَائِدًا لِيَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ فَلَقِيتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الأَسْقَعِ وَهُوَ يُرِيدُ عِيَادَتَهُ فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَيْهِ فقَالَ لَهُ وَاثِلَةُ كَيْفَ ظَنُّكَ بِاللَّهِ قَالَ ظَنِّي بِاللَّهِ وَاللَّهِ حَسَنٌ قَالَ فَأَبْشِرْ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ جَلَّ وَعَلا أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي إِنْ ظَنَّ خَيْرًا وَإِنْ ظَنَّ شَرًّا

Narrated Zainab: The Prophet got up from his sleep with a flushed red face and said, None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. Woe to the Arabs, from the Great evil that is nearly approaching them. Today a gap has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog like this. (Sufyan illustrated by this forming the number 90 or 100 with his fingers.) It was asked, Shall we be destroyed though there are righteous people among us? ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ جَحْشٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُنَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ اسْتَيْقَظَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ النَّوْمِ مُحْمَرًّا وَجْهُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ “لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَيْلٌ لِلْعَرَبِ مِنْ شَرٍّ قَدِ اقْتَرَبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فُتِحَ الْيَوْمَ مِنْ رَدْمِ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ مِثْلُ هَذِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَقَدَ سُفْيَانُ تِسْعِينَ أَوْ مِائَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَهْلِكُ وَفِينَا الصَّالِحُونَ؟، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِذَا كَثُرَيالْخَبَثُ.” صحيح البخاري
