To take a bath.
To clean the teeth with Miswaak.
To wear the best cloths that one has.
To use perfume. (Woman also should obey
Sunnah in the matter of wearing perfume).
To rise early in the morning.
To go to the Eid gathering very early.
To eat before going to the Eid Gathering
In Eid Al-Fittr.( this is different than the case of Eid Al-Adh-haa
where it is preferable to avoid eating before Al-Adh-haa).
To go to the Eid gathering by one way and
to come back another way.
To go on foot. (If you bring your car,
park it properly, and if you are single, try to come with a brother or
bring others with you to save space on the day of Eid.)
To recite on the way to the Eid Musalla:
"Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Laa ilaaha illa-llahu Wa-llahu Akbar,
Allahu Akbar, WA lillahil Hamd." "Allah is the greatest, Allah is the
greatest. There is no deity besides Allah and Allah is the greatest.
Allah is the greatest and all praises are for Allah only."
Note: It is Haraam ( Prohibited)
to fast on 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Dhil Hijjah, (i.e. 'Eid day and
three days after) and also the one day of 'Eid-ul-Fittr.
Visit your relative and your brothers.
And if you are unable to visit, at least call them. Forgive and give
good things as gifts.
