School Rules
Dear Parents,
Assalaamu Alaikum
We would like to thank you for your participation and efforts in
preparing your children for the Eid function at the Masjid.
We hope that the children enjoyed the games and activities that were
specially arranged for them that day.
We at the Masjid are trying to teach your children how to
be good and productive Muslims, but we can not pursue this task
and reach the goal unless you the parents help us and get involve. Discipline
begins at home and it is important that you, as parents, take special
responsibility to teach your children how to conduct themselves as good
Muslims. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to remind
you of a few rules of the School’s Masjid with regard to the
children.
Cleanliness
Islam places great emphasis on personal cleanliness and hygiene. Please make
sure your children come to the Masjid clean and smelling good. The
cleanliness of the Masjid is the responsibility of every Muslim of this
community, Therefore, the children must be reminded that they are responsible
for maintaining the cleanliness of the Masjid. This includes both the inside
and outside. Remind them to pay particular attention to cleanliness in
the bathrooms. Also remind them that digging in the dirt and destroying
the flowers is not acceptable behavior.
Dress
Children should be well dressed. Please also observe the Islamic
rules of modesty. Shorts, tank tops and message-bearing T-shirts should
not be worn at the Masjid. Girls should wear head cover.
Punctuality
It is absolutely necessary that we start and end our classes on time.
Please be sure to drop your children by 10:20 a.m. on Sundays and pick them
up as soon as Dhuhr prayers are over. The Masjid is not responsible, in
any way, for your children’s whereabouts and safety after the second session
of the school is over. The Masjid is not responsible for young children who do
not attend classes and we strongly urge parents not to leave them at the
Masjid unsupervised.
Homework
Homework is generally assigned every week. Please make sure your
children complete their assignments neatly and on time and are prepared for
class.
Manners
and etiquette
Please teach your children to be polite and not use bad language. Swear
words are strictly prohibited. Children should show obedience to their
teachers in the Masjid and to their parents at all times.
School
fees
Fees are due on the first Sunday of each month. Please be sure to pay
promptly. Any family who needs to have their fees waived because of
financial hardship should let me know.
Thank you very much for your cooperation and we encourage you to
increase your involvement in the activities of the Masjid.
Thank you.
