Abu Huraira narrated that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم  said: The  end of the world (to stand before Allah for the Judgment) will not occur until the Euphrates (A river flows through Syria and Iraq) revealing a mountain of gold. People will fight over it. Out of every hundred, ninety nine will be killed.
