ISWM Local residents take part in 3rd annual Open Mosque Day

Dozens of people of all faiths came together Sunday afternoon at the Islamic Center of Western Massachusetts to learn about the Islamic faith.

Following multiple violent attacks on places of worship, the Islamic Society of Western Massachusetts felt it was important for people to meet their Muslim neighbors.

Islamic Society’s president Mohammed Dastigir said, “There’s a lot of misconceptions out there, unfortunately, around what Islam really is about. Islam really means ‘peace’ that’s really what it stands for and that’s really what we believe in.”..more : wwlp

Muslims offer ‘wonderful’ gesture of support to local synagogue after…

etz-chaim-synagogue-0.pngA group of Muslim men have offered a “wonderful” gesture to their local Jewish community, after a synagogue was targeted with racist graffiti.

The swastika and a racial slur were daubed on the sign outside the Etz Chaim synagogue in Leeds on Tuesday night, shocking the community.

Yang’s cat was nursing five kittens just a few days before she went missing.

Upon the search for the cat, police discovered the area where Sun had been temporarily hiding dozens of cats crammed in seven or eight cages in a village near Jiujiang, a police report said.
