If we said that God has relieve somebody, then it means that He -be He blessed- has helped him to besatisfiedandhappy, and if we use this noun without using “The” –the definite article- then it will be used as an attribute of man, and in this
case it means oppression and compulsion, so it is a dispraised attribute for the man, and this was clear in many Quranic verses as His –be He blessed- saying was: (Such were the Aad people: they rejected the sings of their Lord and cherisher; disobeyed His messengers; and followed the command of every powerful, obstinate transgressor) (Hood – verse 59)
And His saying: (But they sought victory and decision (there and then), and frustration was the lot of every powerful obstinate transgressor) (Ibraheem – verse 15)
And His saying: (Thus doth Allah seal up every heart of arrogant tyrannical) (Ghaafir – verse 35)
That’s why The Right –be He blessed- has contradicted and deny this attribute from His messenger Yahya –peace be upon him-, so He –be He blessed- said: (To his son came the command: ‘O Yahya! Take hold of the Book with might’: and we gave him wisdom even as a youth, and pity (for all creatures) as from us, and purity: he was devout, and kind to his parents, and he was not overbearing or rebellious, so peace on him the day he was born, the day that he dies, and the day that he will be raised up to life ‘again’.)(Maryam –verses 12,13,14,15)
Also He –be He blessed- has contradicted and deny it from His messenger Eissa –peace be upon him- so He –e He blessed- said on the tongue of Eissa: (He said: ‘I am indeed a servant of Allah: He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet: and He hath made me blessed where so ever I be, and hath enjoined on me prayer and zakat as long as I live, He hath made me kind to my mother, are not overbearing or unblest) (Maryam – verses: 30,31,32)
And this contradicted of constraint is a contradicted for the tyranny, compulsion and the despotism of God’s creatures for a personal inclinations and usefulness. But The Almighty with using “The” is one of God’s attributes, and if this attribute of tyrannical for the creature then it is a dispraised, but for God –be He blessed- is a must attribute for His absolute completeness; because it means that God –be He blessed- is repairing His servants broken; He is the one who relieves the poor man when He legislated zakat, alms and charity, and He made the one charity like it ten times and seven hundred double, able to be increased.
And He –be He blessed- taught us that this alms will be putting in His hand before it reaches (putting) to the poor’s hand. And He is the one who relieves the patient when He made for him a reward if he will accept the affliction by being patient and to satisfy of God’s judgment, and He made the visiting of the patient is a visit for Him –be He blessed-. Also He –be He blessed- is the one who relieve His dutiful and obedient people by taking care of them and protection them, so they feel that “God –be He blessed- is with them every time and every where, like the blind poor who worships God properly and faithfully, and he trust in God, in a right way, that when he put his hand in his pocket searching for some money to buy something he wants, he may find some money that he doesn’t know from where it came, or he will find some body who will greet him and will give him some money to buy what he wants.
Other meaning for this name (The Al mighty – Al Jabbar) is that He –be He blessed- is might and powerful that everything is submitting to Him, and in this case, -I mean this meaning- is not a dispraised attribute for God –be Heblessed-; because He is far above every thing that conflict His absolute completeness, that the dispraised and odious mightiness is to force some body to do something that he doesn’t want to do, and God –be He blessed- doesn’t make this, and if He force one creature to do something, make sure that this force is a benefit one, even if you couldn’t understand and know it.
For example: man’s body which consists of many systems like the digestive system, the respiratory system and the nervous system and others… you will find that this systems are forced by God to work as it work now. For example, the
heart is working without any lower interposition from the man, and the man can’t stop his heart from working, and this is the case of other systems. All is working in a constant, lasting and accurate system without any interposition from the man, because it is forced to do this work or that, so the forcing here is a blessing and beneficence from His –be He blessed- beneficences to man. And we have to thank Him for this powerful and almighty that He forced these systems to do this.
And if you meditate on the world system, specially the solar system, you will find that the sun is turns around itself in a specific speed, also the earth and other planets are turning around themselves that according to this (as a result) there will be the rotation of night and day, and they (planets) are turn around the sun which will cause the rotation of the four year’s seasons. And these turnings are happened in a miraculous coordination that ensures the regularity of day and night rotation, and the regularity of the year’s four seasons rotation.
What is the thing that makes these planets although they are inanimate objectives (bodies), to move as if they are a wise and reasonable (sensible) creature? It is the God’s mightiness and power, which force these bodies to the God’s will and wish, and for this we have to thank God –be He blessed- because if He didn’t force this world to do this accurate and perfect work, our life on earth will not be lasting.
So The Almighty as a name and a description of The Right’s God description represents one of His attributes, which is necessary and essential for His –be He blessed- absolute completeness. And if the mightiness means the forcing in one of its meaning, then it is a force which ensure and achieve the usefulness, the benefits and the interest for man and protect him from harm and hurt. And another meaning is that The Right –be He blessed- grants a respite for the tyrannical and He gives Him time, he may remember or fear, and if he insists on his oppression, and stubbornness, then God will punish him strongly, and we saw this in Qaroon’s story, that He The Right –be He blessed- said: (Qarun was doubtless, of the people of Moses; but he acted insolently towards them: such were the treasures we had bestowed on him, that their very keys would have been a
burden to a body of strong men. Behold, his people said to him: ‘Exult not, for Allah loveth not those who exult (in riches), “But seek, with the ‘wealth’ which Allah has bestowed on thee, the Home of the Hereafter, not forget thy portion in this world: but do thou good, as Allah has been good to thee, and seek not ‘occasions for’ mischief in the land: for Allah loves not those who do mischief” He said: ‘this has been given to me because of certain knowledge which I have.’ “Did he not know that Allah had destroyed, before him, ‘whole’ generations, which were superior to him in strength and grater in the amount (of riches) they had collected? But the wicked are not called (immediately) to account for theirsins, so he went forth among his aim is the life of this world: “Oh! That we had the like of what Qaroon has got! For he is truly a lord of mighty good fortune!” But those who had been granted (true) knowledge said: “Alas for you! The reward of Allah (in the Hereafter) is best for those who believe and work righteousness: but this none shall attain, save those who steadfastly persevere (in good), then we caused the earth to swallow up him and his house; and he had not (the least little) party to help him against Allah, nor could he defend himself. And those who had envied his position the day before began to say on the morrow: Ah! It is indeed Allah who enlarges the provision or restricts it, to any of His servants He pleases! Had it not been that Allah was gracious to use, He could have caused the earth to swallow us up! Ah! Those who reject Allah will assuredly never prosper) (Al- Qasas – verses: 76,78,79,80,81,82)
Also God –be He blessed- has punished –by His power- Lut’s people when they insisted to do abomination, they were doing the badness abominable, and they were committing in highway robbery. God –be He blessed- told us about them, so He said: (And ‘remember’ Lut: behold, he said to his people: “Ye do commit lewdness, such as no people in creation of the highway? And practice wickedness (even) in your councils? But his people gave no answer but this: they said: ‘Bring us the wrath of Allah if thou tallest the truth, He said: ‘ O my Lord! Help Thou me against people who do mischief, when our messengers came to Abraham with the good news, they said: ‘we are indeed going to destroy the people of this township: for truly they are wicked men’ He said: ‘But there is Lut there’ they said: ‘we know well who is there; we will certainly save him and his following, except his wife: she is of those who lag behind, and when our messengers came to Lut, he was grieved on their account, and felt himself powerless (o protect) them: but they said: ‘fear thou not, nor grieve: we are here to save thee and thy following, except thy wife: she is of those who lag behind. ‘For we are going to bring down on the people of this
township a punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious’ and we have left thereof an evident sign, for any people who (care to) understand) (Al-Ankaboot – verses: 28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35)
And we saw how did He –be He blessed- punished by His power, Pharaoh and his people, when they insisted on disbelief and stubbornness, in this He –be He blessed- has said: (we sent an inspiration to Moses: ‘Travel by night with my servants, and strike a dry path for them through the sea, without fear of being overtaken (by Pharaoh) and without (any other) fear. Then Pharaoh pursued them with his forces, but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up. Pharaoh led his people astray instead of leading them a right) (Taha – verses: 77,78,79)
The God’s forcing in all its meanings is an attribute of God’s absolute completeness attributes, and The Right God –be He blessed- doesn’t use His powerful in any way but to ensure and achieve good or to protect from bad, and He –be He blessed- deserves our thanks for His powerful and strength as He deserves our thanks for His mercy, forgiveness and generosity. He is as He –be He blessed- tells about Himself: (Allah is He, than whom there is no other god, the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the justly Proud glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him) (Al Hashr- Verse: 23)
