“Baraa” is a term, which refers to the action of creating something, which is capable of performing the task behind its creation. Barret the pen means sharpening the pen and making it capable of giving better writing performance. Bareit the arrow means making it capable of effective pointing and shooting. The Baree is one of the names of Allah. Allah has given the most excellent shape to human beings and made the various organs which perform various functions capable of offering excellent performance. As He –to whom belongs might and majesty- said: “We have indeed created man in the best of moulds, then do we abase him (to be) the lowest of the low” (Al-Teen – verses 4,5)
And His saying: “He is Allah, the creator, the originator, the fashioner. To Him belong the most beautiful names: what ever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the wise” (Al Hashir – verse 24) If we glance at the world around us, we will find that Allah has created everything and gave it the capability of performing its task. Man is the successor of Allah on earth. Therefore, he was given intellect in order to enable him to play the role of rehabilitating the earth. Man is endowed by all potential requirements for promoting and developing himself. He was given the tongue to mention the names of Allah everywhere and to express himself by uttering letters, words, phrases and sentences. God –to whom belongs might and majesty- has taught Adam all the names and words, as He said in His holy quran: “and He taught Adam the names of all things; then He placed them before the angels, and said: “tell me the names of these if ye are right” (Al-Baqarah – verse 31) And He said: “The Most Gracious!, it is He who has taught the Quran, He has created man: He has taught him an intelligent speech” (Al-Rahman- verses 1 – 4) Allah endowed various resources to help man on earth. The cow gives man milk and protein, the horse to help man to move quickly, the donkey to bear heavy loads, etc.. In this He said: “and verily in cattle (too) will ye find an instructive sign. From what is within their bodies, between excretions and blood, we produce, for your drink, milk, pure and agreeable to those who drink it” (Al-Nahil – verse 66) Even some creatures which may be harmful to man such as the scorpion, the snakes and the lion, are helping man in one way or another, directly or indirectly in the task of worshipping Allah. Their presence makes man feels insecure and consequently, he feels the used for Allah’s protection. Because man tends to e forgetful at the time of easiness, but when he faces difficulties and dangers, he remembers Allah and seeks His protection. In that He –to whom belongs might and majesty- said: “when trouble toucheth a man, he crieth unto us (in all postures) – lying down on his side, or sitting, or standing but when we have removed his affliction, he passeth on his way as if he had never cried to us for the affliction that touched him! Thus do the deeds of transgressors seem fair in their eyes!” (Yunus – verse 12) And His saying: “Now, when trouble touches man, he cries to us: but when we bestow a favour upon him as from us, he says, “this has been given to me because of a certain knowledge (I have)! Nay, but this is but a trial, but most of them understand not!” (Al-Zumar-verse 49) Even man makes use of poisons of some animal and produces curing medicine. Many inventions which were invented by man have come into existence by utilization of the available resources around man. Allah gave the air special characteristics, which make it capable of transferring the sound and image. Man invented the equipments, TV and rachis which utilize the characteristics of air in transferring the sound and image; consequently, we have the TV and radios programmes. So it will be easier to contact other people all over the world; He –to whom belongs might and majesty- is the one who said: “O man kind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may despise each other (not that ye may despise (each other). Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)” (Al-Hujuraat – verse 13) Allah gave man the characteristics of living by oxygen and plants by carbon oxide. Allah created the oil and kept it under ground. Today man made use of the in rehabilitating the earth. It is clear that Allah has gave human potentials and the resources around man to pare the way for man to reach such a level of scientific achievement. We must devote the same potentials and resources to worship Allah and thank Him.
