The Grantor
To donate something to somebody means giving something without return. He who donates is called a donator or grantor. The grantor is one of the 99 attributes of God. God, be He raised for above, is the Donator Who gives what He owns. However, God, the Great and Almighty have given the donation of the granted us considered a figurative one, because he donates what he. And the donation of the grated is rarely without recompense. If the donator wouldn’t desire any worldly reward in return for his donation, he certainly seeks for recompense in the Afterworld.
God, to whom be ascribed all perfection and majesty, doesn’t obtain any return for His donation, even if He wishes that people would worship Him. God, to whom belongs Might and Majesty says, “O ye men! If is ye that have need of Allah: 
But Allah is the One Free of all wants, worthy of all praise.” If He so pleased, He could blot you out and bring in a new creation” Nor is that difficult for Allah. And Allah says in the Holly Hadith: “O my people, I’ve denied myself injustice and made it forbidden among you. So you are not be unjust. O my servants! All of you are led astray except the people who have been guided. If you ask to be rightly guided, I will guide you. O my servants! All of you are hungry except those who I’ve fed. Therefor, ask me for food and I’ll feed you. O my servants! All of you are naked except those who I’ve clothed. So, ask me for clothing and I’ll clothe you. , Ask me for clothing and I’ll cloth you. O my servants! You commit errors by day and by night, and I forgive all the evils. Ask me for forgiveness and I am ready to do so. O my servants! You can neither harm nor 11benefit me. O my servants! If you are devotional or dissolute, nothing could increase or decrease my own supreme power. O my servants! Truly, these are your deeds which I count then you are given your due in full. Those who are rewarded should praise Allah, otherwise, they should blame themselves.
Worship is a group of obligations falling under the framework of “Do and Don’t”. The purpose of these obligations is to promote the human being spiritually and physically, in order to make this promotion agree with the human being as the God’s vice regent on earth.
If you consider carefully the prayer worship, you’ll recognize immediately the philosophy of imposing that worship upon Muslims. Think about the prayer who prays regularly, and you will se that he is always clean bodily with good appearance and a shiny face. And he is always well mannered and self restrained. Moreover, he is a good talker and trustworthy. These characteristics are merely countless examples. Furthermore, Allah has legislated the fast worship in order to help the Muslim remember the blessings which God has granted to him. The fast worship also makes the Muslim share with the poor the suffering of hunger, and it keeps him away from seeking the beastly instincts. In this case, the instinct satisfaction is no longer an end to man as it is to all the animals. Food is for providing a person with energy to keep him alive. Sexual instinct is for reproduction and earth peopling. Consequently, We won’t find anyone who thinks that man lives only to drink, eat and make love with women as people in allegedly developed countries do.
The Hajj (Pilgrimage) is intended to enable Muslims from Different nations and races to assemble about one purpose, and exchange views about the present life and the afterworld.
Zakat (alms) is intended to redistribute the income by transferring part of it from the rich people to the poor people for supporting them and putting an end to envy and hatred, as well as, preventing crimes in the society.
God, the Great and Almighty, orders us to stick to the different virtues such as shyness, truth, good talk, removing the damage from the roads, as well as smiling to our brothers. We, as Muslims, have also been ordered to restrain from vices as lies, hypocrisy, malice, backbiting, envy and others. Commands and prohibition are in general, legislated for the benefit of human being, and not for humiliating him. God, to whom belongs might and majesty, is the Grantor eternally and forever. When we had been created from nothingness, it was a gift from Him. Our bodies, minds, hearing, sight, hearts are all gifts. The universe with the creatures are all a gift from the creator to mankind. The air we breathe is a gift. The water we drink is a gift. The food that the earth produces is a gift. The pack animals, which carry us to far places, are gift. The sun which supplies us with warm and light is a gift and the moonlight by which we are guided to travel is also a gift from God, is He praise far above. The heavenly missions, which have been sent to guide us to the right path, is a gift. Guidance and conversion from atheism to belief is also a gift. Accordingly God says, “O ye believe follow not Satan’s footsteps: any will follow the footsteps of Satan, be will command what is indecent and wrong: and were it not for the race and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth Purify whom He pleases: and Allah is one who hears and knows all things.” (Al-Nur. Verse 21)
The husband is a gift from God, the Great and Almighty, to his wife and the wife is a gift to her husband; the children are also a gift to their parents. God says, “To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what he wills. He bestows (children) male or female according to his will. Or He be bestows both males and females, and He leaves barren whom He will: for He is full of knowledge and power.” (Al-Shura, Verses 49-50)
God’s donation is a gift, and his deprivation is a gift. It has been said before that the gift is concealed inside resentment, and resentment is hidden inside the gift. No one knows, save Allah, where good and evil are because Allah is the knower of the thing unseen. Man is to believe completely that everything is a donation from God, including those things, which we assume that they have been obtained by our own means. If man claims that what he possesses have been obtained by his effort, and forget God’s kindness, he will inevitably lose this kindness. We’ve already seen what happened to Qaroon when he pretended that what he owned had been gained by his work and knowledge.
It is clear from the story that Qaroon committed several sins, and he, as a result, deserved punishment. In additional to his pretending that the benefactions had been gained his knowledge and work, Qaroon didn’t crave for the afterworld. His aim was the corruption on earth. He used to come out displaying his exa gerated adornment, which caused spiritual harm to the poor and drove them to despair and resentment. The prophets, God’s blessing be upon them, recognized that everything was donated by Allah. For this reason, they used only the verb “grant” in their supplications. Some of these supplications mentioned in the Holly Quran are: “Praise be to Allah, who hath granted unto me in old age Ismail and Isaac” (Ibrahim. Verse 39)
“There did Zakariya pray to his Lord, saying: ‘O my Lord! Grant unto me from thee a progeny” (Aali-Imran. Verse 38)
“O my Lord! Bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous” (Al-Shura. Verse 84)
Man must resort to Allah every time he asks for something, because Allah is the only Grantor who grants without return. God also owns the closets of every thing. We have said that God’s will exploits the means, whereas, the means have no power to change this will. Allah, the Great and Almighty, says, “Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of the Lord – the Exalted in Power, the Grantor of Bounties without measure?” (Saad. Verse 9)
